Living with an Autistic Child :)

What is Autism?

According to google dictionary Autism is a developmental disorder of variable severity that is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behaviour.

"Hello, my name is Keneilwe Ratlhogo and I live with an Autistic Child. Well when I found out that Ora is autistic I was very confused as I had no knowledge of it at all .. I didn’t know what it was and when he had to do all the tests it broke me down as a mother cause he was also confused and didn’t know why he was in hospital

I then started educating myself about it and understood it and I noticed how ignorant people are when coming to autism as they all assume it’s a disease but it’s actually a learning disorder ...

We are both still trying to cope with the challenges of autism everyday with Ora there is an improvement

As autism is a spectrum he might fall out of it.

I sometimes don’t cope as I don’t understand him at times but I’m trying by all means to be strong as after all he needs me."
