Introduction

It goes without saying that this has been the most grueling year in the history of the Conference. We have had our share of ups and downs however, through it all we are still standing. As President it has always been my goal to unify the Conference and bring out the best in the Conference. Standing here today I am proud to say that in my first year as President, we are well on our way to success and glory. In our first year together I am proud of what we have accomplished and plan to grow on that. It was all possible through our hard work, persistence, dedication and the love we have for this Conference. Writing this Presidential Address feels like a dream, I am unable to contain the excitement that fills my heart as I am typing this rather long document.

One of the most valuable and most fulfilling things I have taught myself in the past year is reflecting on my successes and shortcomings. It is through this process that I have been able to evaluate my life and make the necessary adjustments. TREECers I invite each of you to accompany me on this journey of self introspection and reflection. Let’s take a moment to pause and ponder on our journey together in this past year. Let’s take a moment to rewind our journey and look at how far we have come.

Before anything, allow me to greet you all in the REVIVING name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ AMEN.

Allow me to bear testimony of God’s Love as follows,

TREEC Mandates 2018

The Conference Administration this year decided not to mandate Areas, this was to enable the Conference to do most of the work and for Areas to adjust to the new administration. These are the Mandates the Conference adopted at the sitting of the Planning Session.

📷 Internally develop the skills and holistic capabilities of the members of the Conference. Externally promote the YPD in order to yield membership in the Conference.

📷 Increase the morale of the TREEC Areas by promoting inter-Area cooperation as a way of ensuring that our Areas grow together as a collective.

📷 Promote Leadership development within the Allen Stars as a way of endorsing succession in the YPD.

📷 Encourage Educational and Economic advancement in young people as a way of ensuring that they live the best possible lives outside of the YPD.

I am proud to say that we have been consistent in carrying our these mandates. We have made it our mission as the Leadership of the Conference that we promote the mandates of the Conference. We tirelessly emphasized the importance of developing the skills of our members internally whilst promoting the organization to the public. Initiatives such as the TREEC Information Desk are some of the initiatives we have developed to ensure that our members grow themselves in all facets of their lives.

Furthermore, we made it our mission to improve and nourish the spiritual lives of young people. We are passionate about ensuring that young people in the Conference draw closer to God in ways they never thought possible. Hence we have taken it upon ourselves to make sure that we do not leave an event without having fulfilling the spirits of young people.

Succession in the organization is one of the most important aspects that we hold very dear to our hearts as the Leadership in this term. That is why we have made it a priority to develop an Allen Star program that is going to give our Allen Stars the necessary skills and information they require to become a generation that is going to change the face of the Conference when their time comes. The seed that has been planted should be nourished in order for it to bloom into a flower we can all be proud to call our own.

The emancipation of young black live has been top of our agenda this year. I am particularly excited because we have been consistent in our mission. Our Education and Economics Officer has been working long and hard to ensure that we each gain something that is going to be beneficial to our success in the society we live in today.

TREECers, I am in awe of has been done to advance our mandates as a Conference. In 2019 we aim to go further than what we have already accomplished. It is through our mandates that we have seen a need for further education and development in the holistic lives of young people.

I thank each of you for your undying love for the Conference. Your efforts. Your dedication. Your determination. It is through all of these qualities that we have triumphed and have become what we are today.

Goals and objectives

📷 Implement an Area Mentorship plan that is going to be a way of tracking the progress of our Areas throughout the year.

📷 Establish working groups within the executive that are going to ensure the essential implementation of our Mandates.

📷 Sit for a Youth Summit where young people are going to be encouraged to pave the way for the lives they want to live.

📷 Effectively disseminate information throughout the Conference regarding the events and important issues pertaining to the Organization.

📷 Create a platform where Area Presidents can effectively and openly communicate with the Conference.

📷 Plan programs at events that are going to unify the Conference, spiritually advance young people and create an atmosphere where young people are able to grow and develop into assets to society.

📷 Offer an environment where members are able to directly communicate with the Leadership of the Conference without any demarcations.
